The Gertrude Association (not for profit) is a volunteer run group dedicated to exhibiting contemporary new media. Since 2008, it has produced outdoor site-specific projection-art events that exhibit professional, emerging and community artists. The Association’s premier event is the annual Gertrude Street Projection Festival. Other events have been produced in Melbourne and on King Island as part of the Tasmanian Arts Festival, Ten days on the Island. Various team members have a range of projects in development.
Working non-stop in collaboration with new fashion labelTettmann.Doust and animator Tobias J Edwards Yandell Walton created this amazing projection event as part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program. Yandell’s projection work has recently been exhibited at NGV studios. Her immersive projections are part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Week and her short film “Shift” opens at ACMI on March 5th, 2012.
